This is where we will determine what is needed and how I can make it happen. What is the music for? What is needed? What is the timeline? What is the budget? All of these questions will aid in producing a game plan for the project.

Exact project requirements are determined during this step. What is the exact instrumentation? Exactly how long does the arrangement need to be? What is the schedule (i.e., when are demos due, when do rehearsals begin, when do directors/choreographers need tracks, etc.)?

Once exact specifications are in place, it’s time to start! A sketch & demo are typically done first for the client to sign off upon. From there, the orchestration is filled out (vocals, horns, strings, rhythm section instruments, etc.). Tracks (if requesed) are then delivered, along with PDFs or printed music, and the project is complete!
